Health and safety
The Department, together with the persons in charge of the University's Prevention and Protection Service (SPP), is attentive to all health and safety issues in the workplace.
The elimination or minimisation of risks required by Italian Legislative Decree 81/08 can be achieved not only through technical or structural measures, but also through the introduction of organisational and procedural measures.
In order to reduce the risks to people’s safety and health, and to comply with the legal obligations of the Heads of Teaching and Laboratory Research (RDRL), the attached procedures are provided to be drawn up by and under the responsibility of the RDRL whenever prototypes or equipment are to be designed and/or used in the laboratory. Each annex contains the form to be completed, preceded by a few pages of information.

Preliminary assessment of laboratory activities

Laboratoy Activity preliminary assessment.
Activity with the use of chemical and biological agents and the new work procedures must be communicated to Health and Safety Office, in order to draw up a preliminary assessment of the activity. The responsible of the activity must complete this fulfillment by filling out the form prepared by the Health and Safety Office: at the moment the document in available only in Italian.
